I have a server running CF4 and is running apps on it right now.

Because its running fine I don't want to mess around with it (ie. if it ain't broke... don't touch it).

I want to run new apps in CF 5.

Is it possible to have 2 versions of CF running on the same machine?

Thanks,

Chris

i don't think that it is possible with V5 but with MX ships with its own build in webserver that allows you to run a previous version and MX alongside each other. This is not recommended on a live webserver but a development one should be ok.

unless you have bought V5 already i don't think think that you are going to be able to now that MX has shipped. I would also recommed getting MX if you haven't bought V5 yet as there is a lot of great functionality in MX such as components, xml support, ability to use java tag libraries to mention just three

Thank you.

I do have version 5 (Enterprise) so I'm stuck with it. I'm not going to even touch MX because its not proven yet.

I'll use JSP/tomcat if I wanna try any Java stuff anyway.

Thanks,

Chris
