Possible bouncing on Exchange 5.5?

Good Morning All. I have a Exchange 5.5 Server, and I am noticing a lot of messages in the outbound que with the orginator as <> and the reciepent all sorts of domains. I am thinking my Exchange server is on some open relay list. Is there a say that I can stop my Exchange server from relaying, or bouncing these messages?
