possible account profile corruption in 2k advanced server?

I was pidling through my exchange server and noticed that the administrator profile has been recreated a few times. essentially i have 3 administrator profiles...they look like this...

DOMAIN.administrator
DOMAIN.administrator.001
DOMAIN.administrator.002

In looking some stuff up it seems this may be caused by some corruption..but I can't seem to find anything definitive on it. I was wondering if anyone has seen this and has a possible solution? I don't consider rebuilding the server as a valid solution :p I consider it a last resort.
