Hi

I have a people counting camera that outputs data in xml format. After struggling to convert it to regular csv (which it now does), I find that the dates are in f%&@ing posix format. Is there an easy way to convert this to regular dates in Excel, so that my tables and charts will mean something to the regular person?!!!

TIA

Mike

Wouldn't that be to convert the seconds to days, hrs etc and adding 25569 and then converting to proper date format?

If I understand correctly a Posix date is the number of elapsed seconds since 1/1/1970.

If that is so, then simply divide by 86400 (the number of seconds in a day) and add 25569 (the Excel date number for 1/1/1970).

Yay for tek tips. Fast, correct answers in 5 minutes. Thanks very much!

Now...Skip - I am *really* missing the point of that link! Am I having a very dumb day?

POSIX support was indicated.
