A quick questions about position ID in ACD...

can I assign any number when I configure the key 00? or do I have to stick to a specific table?

You CAN use any unused number for the position ID if you want. You SHOULD stick to your dialing plan -- you should lay out number ranges for extensions (DID and non-DID), access codes, ACD queues and position IDs, etc. Remember that any number you use does take away from numbers available.

If you goto;
LD 20
PRT
DNB
<CR> through the rest

This will list all of your ACID's Also known as Position ID's. Any Unused Number there is available. I try to keep them in some sort of order, I.E. Extension Number 2001 ACID or POS 1001...just an example....it makes it a little easier to keep up with and is one less thing to think about when adding a new ACD set.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help...

Much appreciated.

Actually if you go to load 20 you want to PRT the LUDN not the DNB, the DNB will give you all the numbers used and the Tns, LUDN give you the list unused numbers.

For pos id's and the like, I prefer to use 5 digits instead of 4. This way this does not take away from potential 4 digit did's or internal extensions.
