Epson TM-88 is the most popular receipt printer AFAIK. The TM-U220 is the one I see for kitchen and bar the most often as well; I see both printers in use by Micros and Aloha fairly often. Both are pretty standard in that they both use paper you could pick up at Office Max and the ribbons for the U220 are also easy to get, which makes them pretty popular.
