I have a really old norstar 6x16 system,I cound not read the software versions but i would guess dr1. you dont have to enter a password, just **config and **admin and it goes into programming.
Someone in the past used set relocation and all the ports are jumbled up with different dn than what they would normally be.
Is port/dn status availible for this software version? i looked under both the config and admin side and couldnt find it, is it hiding under another heading or was it availible in the really old software.

Definitely DR1. Set relocation is automatic, no way to turn it off. There is also no maintenance heading. I'd pop in a DR2 or DR5 software to get around this problem.

Or you will have to plug a phone into each port to see what DN it is.

oh joy. we are doing a remodel/ carpet job so i imagine all the DN's are gonna jumble again as we unplug and plug them back.
I have a system with dr5 that we replaced because every time it lost power it lost programming. Do you know if that the battery that helps maintain the memory is in the system or in the software cartridge. I would hate to swap one problem for another.

we have closed several locations maybe i can find a cics or mics laying around.
Thanks.
