The setup:
Internet access via cable modem. 5 users w/ internal email using <domain.local> . The business has one email address hosted by the local cable company - businessname@cableco.net.
Using the POP3 connector we have the business email routed to the Exchange mailbox of a user called "businessname". All users have this mailbox as an additional in Outlook with full permissions to access and send on behalf.
This user also has email addresses of businessname@domain.local and businessname@cableco.net listed in AD.
Outbound email is directed to the outbound SMTP server of the cable company in the SMTP connector.
The issue:
If the primary email for the businessname user is set to the domain.local address, inbound email works OK but outbound gets an unknown address error. . If the primary email for the businessname user is set to the cableco.net address the outbound works but the inbound gets stuck at the “SMTP:messege sent to configurator” stage in the Message Tracker.
Any help is apprediated
Thanks in advance
