Hi,
We have recently installed Raptor Firewall on our LAN...we run an Exchange 5.5... with routing enabled...but only to clients that are authenticated - (to prevent SPAM!)
Users are permitted to POP their mail from home. Since the Firewall installation, users can receive mail from home and send internally, but they get an error "550 - relaying not allowed" when trying to send mail to external addresses. In Outlook express, they have enabled the tab that specifies: "use same username and pass when sending mail".
This used to work...the only change is the Firewall...we have tried adding rulz...but nothing seems to work. The strange thing is, when we remove the routing restrictions from within exchange, it works...but this opens the system to SPAM...
Any advise would be appreciated,
Julian
