POP3 access - server not accepting user/pass

Running 2k Server and E2k... I need to allow POP3 access for some remote users.

I setup the POP3 Virtual Server under ESM\SERVERS\PROTOCOL\POP3. I have the VS started. When I try and configure the a POP3 account in Outlook 2003, I get a error when sending a test.

"Outlook could not login to Incomming mail server becuase the server is not accepting username or password."

I've tried messing with the Virtual Server authentication and nothing seems to be working.

any ideas for this old boy?

I managed to figure it out... by doing nothing. I restarted the server a few times and it just started working....
