pop mail going missing

Hi

I am having a problem with one of our servers. Its windows 2000 small business with exchange. Exchange is configured to download pop3 mail from our service provider and then distribute it ( all client pc's run outlook 2000). Suddenly the server has started downloading the mail from our service provider but not distributing it to the mail boxes. The mail does not go into any mailboxes and the disk space never changes. The server was working fine, but suddenly stoped. There is no spam software or filers setup. The mail just seams to be deleated as soon at exchange access the pop3 account.

I have reinstalled SP3 and post fix, but still no joy. Antivirus is running and upto date. The event logs show nothing strange and firewall has been disabled

On the POP connector, is the mailbox info set correctly or has it been set to deliver mail elsewhere?

I posted a similar problem to this months ago and never got a reply. The problem is with the pop3 connector. Microsoft publish a technote on troubleshooting this, but I was still unable to resolve the problem. I was faced with reinstalling, but I discovered the ISP had started supporting smtp mail delivery, so I just changed to that.
