poor throughput on different subnet sharing the same interface

Hello Everyone,

I have a 7507 and have configured one Fastethernet with multiple gateway addresses 10.1.1.1 , 10.1.2.1 , 10.1.3.1 etc... (using secondary ip command)
I seem to have a problem with throughput if a host with 10.1.2.X tries to download from a server on 10.1.1.X. (less than 34kb on a 100mb ethernet). A host on 10.1.1.x can get normal throughput (Mbs) if downloading from another host on the same subnet and the same rule applies to all the other subnets. It's only when they jump from one subnet to another that I lose my throughput.
The subnets share a common hub and I have already rebooted it. I use static routing for my subnets and BGP for my backbone providers.
Anyone have any ideas why I would lose my throughput? My old Bay router would handle this scenario with no problems.

For starters, I would highly recommend that instead of secondary IPs, to use subinterfaces which work better across the range of options.

I'll have to look-up the info for creating subinterfaces for the ethernet card. I know how to create them on the ATM cards but havent had much luck with the Fast E's

SAme way as any other interface.. fastethernet 0/0.1 etc

This is the message I get when trying to do a subinterface on a Fast E

"Configuring IP routing on a LAN subinterface is only allowed if that
subinterface is already configured as part of an IEEE 802.10, IEEE 802.1Q, or ISL vLAN."
