Policy installation hanging in Smartdashboard

When pushing a policy to my NG FP3 firewall from Smartdashboard it takes so long that I have to abort the installation. However if I putty to the firewall and do a "fw stat" the policy is always there.I have waited for up to 20 minutes but still no joy. The policy is getting pushed down to the firewall but it seems that Smartdashboard just hangs. Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.

Have you tried reinstalling the smartdashboard client?

Had exactly the same problem. You can change a setting to take longer before timing out...look in checkpoint support.. Checkpoint also recommend making sure local host settings are correct

...or...i got it working properly by upgrading to NG AI r54 ( im now on NG AI r55 and working fine ).

The difference in speed is unbelievable once i went from FP3 to NG AI r54.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, the powers that be have decided to wait until we roll out the upgrade to NG AI R55, so I too will have to wait to see if that improves matters...
