Polaris Headsets with 3903/3904 phones

Hello - we have 3903 and 3904 sets I am testing a Polaris headset with the cord sent with the headset (no amp.) I am told these will work with these type sets - however when I plug the cord/headset into headset plug on the phone - I hear no dialtone, nothing. I am not aware of any programming change needed on the phone. Thanks for any suggestions!!!

i know this sound s silly but have you tried pressing the off hook or handsfree button

Not silly at all - handsfree works. When I depress the headset key the light comes on but nothing comes through the headset.

I was going to ask if you were using a quick disconnect cord. I had a user bring in a personal headset that was set to connect straight to the phone via rj11. From what I have found, you need to have that quick disconnect for it to work. Plantronics part number A10.

Thanks - yes they are both quick disconnet cords, the one that does not work is MA5106 A5, the one that works is MA4841 A5. They look just alike....
