Does anyone know when pocket pc will officially support intel's new Xscale processor? I was thinking about getting the toshiba e740 pocket pc but I don't know if windows CE will support the extra speed. Any responses would be great.

Thanks,
Brad

According to post on the Dell Axim site. Microsoft officials have stated that they are not going to support the Xscale processor. So you have to run Pocket PC 2002 for the ARM processor in emulation mode.

They say they are already supporting 3 Pocket PC versions, SH3, MIPS and ARM and they don't want to have to support a 4th.

If the Xscale processor replaces all those other processors, maybe MS will change its mind. I hope so. Roger Newhall
