Pocket Access for Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 ? 1

Hello,

I looking to buy a Pocket PC Fujitsu - Siemens LOOX, and have looked in Microsoft site and asked in many stores but no one can tell me if there is a Pocket Access for this Operative System, they tell me about Pocket Word, Pocket Excel..... bla, bla, bla.... But when I ask about a database they don't have a answer for me.

So could any one tell me if there is a pocket access? I know there is there is a pocket access files (*.cdb), but I can't find the software or some place to buy it... something else.

Any help is very welcome.

I just went through the same process. Here's what I found:

MS Pocket Access is only available directly as a "Pocket" version for handheld computers, such as the HP Jornada. It comes loaded as part of the Pocket suite on this computer. MS apparently does not offer Pocket Access for PDAs as a separate purchase or download.

For PDAs that run on the Pocket PC 2002 operating system, you need to purchase a third-party software package that provides the interface between the PDA and your MS Access 97/2000/2002 files used on your desktop or notebook computer. These software packages are relatively inexpensive and can move database files and information back and forth between a PDA and another computer. They can be downloaded from the Internet (go to Handango.com for example to see a sample of the available software) and used on a trial basis. Examples include Handbase, abcDBdatabase, Data on the Run, etc.
