pms definity integration

how do I integrate pms without a direct serial connection. I've been told That the
definity pbx can send the information directly by setting it up in sys para hosp. what is the physical connectivity?

I have only ever seen a PMS hooked in via serial, usually in conjuction with the call accounting system. All sys par hospitality does is set the protocols. The PMS vendor has to provide the correct integration software. You can't take a PMS that was working off a Mitel & hook it to an Avaya. There are ones out there that won't integrate.
