PLZ...I serioulsy need some help, here!!

I am not sure if I am asking this question in the correct forum but, I know you guys have helped me in the past and if this is the wrong forum, you will let me know and guide me in the right direction...I am running winXP and recently downloaded a couple of new programs that I want to test out....For some reason, since these downloads, the computer is just restarting whenever it feels like it, and I am not sure which program that I downloaded is the problem...Short of uninstalling these new programs, what is the alternative option(s)? Is there a program that I can get to find this out? What other reason would there be for this unruly behavior..LOL. My spyware program, CounterSpy has not found anything suspicious, the antivirus program mks_vir 2005 has not found any viruses....HELP!! I am lost on this one....

System Properties - see if CPU is being "overlaoded". Start > run > msconfig > startup - uncheck any of the programs you just installed. When the problem is solved, re-check the programs one - by -one until it screws up. You will then know which one it is. Another thing you can try: a program called "MyUninst.exe. You can sort by date and uninstall any programs you installed when the problems started. Then reinstall one at a time.

Excellent idea......I am on it, right now!! Thanks for the help..If the problem exists afterwards, I will let you know....Again, THX!!
