Plug-Ins for Visual Studio.NET

Does anyone know where I can get information about writing
a plugin application, like Visual Perl, XSLT, etc for
Visual Studio .NET. I've been searching through the
knowledge base and MSDN but there seems to be nothing there.
I know it can be done, do you need to be a member of on
of the Microsoft Developers groups. If so which ones ?

Look for "DTE", which is the Visual Studio Extensibility object. There was an article in MSDN magazine a month or two ago about writing Add-Ins, and it was pretty good.
