Yes it can be done. On the Query Manager (8.3) in the Fields Tab, if you click on the Edit button you'll get access to to various options such as renaming the field label for output, etc. One of the options are settings for several aggregates, SUM, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE and COUNT. Your Peoplebooks link should have some specific info on how to use this option.....
