I have a report using CR 10 and SQL server created in 17 X 22 landscape paper size. But my printer can't print that kind of paper, only leter size (8 1/2 X 11 only). So I search for a help, then I found a solution.

The solution is: create the cross-tab, and click any field into the "Columns" box and click any field to "Summarize Fields" box. Do not move any fields into "Rows" box.
Click on the "Customize Style" tab and select check boxes:

1> Suppress Empty Rows
2> Suppress Empty Columns
3> Suppress Row Grand Totals
4> Suppress Column Grand Totals
Then click OK and insert cross-tab into Report Header and Select "Underlay Following Sections" check box in "Format Sections"

This mean I created my first half of 17 X 22 paper size on the main page and another half on the virtual page. (8 1/2 X 11 leter size)

I have about 100 or more records to show on the report.

But the solution only work for first 2 page (1 main page and 1 virtual page). From the third page and the rest, it's only print the main page only.

So anyone knows please help, I'm very appreciated. Thanks

Try placing the crosstab in a group header that is set to repeat on each page. Should work.

Hi lbass, Where to to to set "Repeat on each page" on the cross-tab or group header format?. I couldn't find it.

HI lbass, I found the Option in GH, I did check on "Repeat on each page". But nothing happen, it's still not nothing

What exactly are you trying to do? The crosstab is the only object that can appear on a virtual page, so while you can make all pages as wide as the virtual pages, you can't place anything in those virtual pages except the crosstab itself.

PS. If you don't plan to print the report, but just want it wide for display purposes, then do a search on this site for "paper size". What you need is to set the report to a different printer (even if you don't have it) that allows very wide paper, and I can't remember what the printer is.

If you want the large printer in windows, install a HP 3500 CPS.

Set it in landscape and play with it's settings and you can get over 100 inches of terrain.

Works great for display and exporting only.
