PLEASE help SCN issue on same subnet 1

Hi I hope someone can help!

Two weeks ago we changed one of our IP403's to be on the sme subnet as our other. They use SCN.

Since then, the switchbaords are not "syncing" properly i.e. only a few of the SITE 2 extensions are visible from PMPRO and the BLFs are not showing presence OR dialling across.

I have checked our network for IGMP filtering which I thought would be a likely cause, I have unticked rebooted and reticked "Voice Networking" hoping that would reset the extn list but I cannot get it back to working.

I also looked at DHCP as the two boards were 89.0.4.220 and 89.0.4.221 and it looked like a possible clash with DHCP allocation on the 403's.

Anyone PLEASE?

You need to delete or change your iproutes !

I cannot understand what was wrong but I have changed the VOIP protocol to one usign 32k (cannot remember the name of it) to 64k ALAW and this seems to have done it.

THis configuration change (plus a few cleanups of unused extensions using the LATEST manager program (6.2(4) on a DT based 3.0.580 software version has fixed it.

Maybe the newer manager program has removed somethign bad in the config or maybe it was the VOIP protocol. either way it is fixed.

Thanks tlpeter, although you did not have an exact answer, you prompted me to dig down into all areas of the config - especially the VOIP line, and I started seeing oddities.

Of course, the 4+ version manager does not write quotation marks around the name of the "user" when programming a Button to be a user (for DSS console for example) so I had to go back to the old manager and put all the quotes back in, dammit!
