For reasons beyond my control, someone was allowed to mess around with my default website permissions. Now I get an error 403 forbidden when attempting to log onto OWA

server is 2000 sbs
exchange is 2000

I'm 99% sure it's a isa security issue, but I do not know what to set it back to and what virtual directorys to set.

If someone could respond with a list of v directories and their necessary isa directory security levels ie anonymous, basic, integrated, I'd be very grateful.

Would you not get that person back and make him/her correct whatever they changed?

Hi :
I had the same problem. Then I figured out that the exchange drive M: had some problem and it was not mounting whne the system booted. The drive M: is one of the key exchange drive and has lot of virtual directories. Just shut down the server waited for few mintes and rebooted the system and everything was fine.

thank you very much for your informative answer.

perhaps if your request was possible and other variables were in place I would follow your suggestion. Unfortunately it is not possible for me to do this or I would have done it by now.

Can anyone else give me a rundown of what I requested in my first post in this thread?

my last post was directed at Marc, not stiffguy

Thanks stiffguy for the suggestion, unfortunately that did not work.

Just run the Internet connection wizard in the todo wizard

Thank you VERY much DG659, your solution worked perfectly.

I never thought much of those SBS dumb down wizards, but this one certainly worked!

I appreciate your time in answering my question.
