Hi all,
I am requesting and on my needs for help and advice.
I just make a huge mistake. I went into System Manager - server - (storage group) technical and managment - into properties - security - highlight everyone - and put deny for read permission, execute -

then it prompts a warning that it will overwrite allow.
Now everyone in the technical and mangmentgroup are not able to read their email.

I also cannot locate anything inside the mailbox that are store locally on the server

Please Help if anyone know what i'm talking. God bless you all. I will repaid back anything if this is resolve.

Thanks a million!!!!

Love always,

I will assume that you attempted to give permission back to them but did not have the permission to do so?

Try a couple of things,

1. Change the permissions on one mailbox and add yourself as full control. Then change the permissions back.

If that does not work (which it probobly wont based on my assumption)

2. Try changing permissions to allow one of your admin ids full control on all on a higher level and propegate to sub-level. then change the permissions back -(this should work). Ultimately you can change the permissions on the information store itself and propigate to all sub-levels.

Make sure you make note of any sub-level permissions before you change them. This way you can change them back. Also, when you make the change try to make add to permissions rather than changing existing (i.e. create a temporary ID that you give GOD access to)

I hope this helps, post your progress, and I will see if I can help more.

Wow I stay till 5am to get this resolve. I have to use the dstace.exe tool under window support.

DsAcls uses the following syntax:

dsacls object [/a] [/d {user | group}:permissions [...]] [/g {user | group}:permissions [...]] [/i:{p | s | t}] [/n] [/p:{y | n}] [/r {user | group} [...]] [/s [/t]]

This let me change deny permission that over write the allow read and execute permission on the storage group.

Cheers everyone. Love always,
