PLEASE EXPLAIN SERVICE PACKS

I have CR9 and there are several service packs that have been issued on this product.
When I install the service pack on my development computer, I have these corrections/changes etc available to me. If I now recompile my VB app do my customers also have these features if they just update the executable file and not re install the whole program?

Also, are there new Merge Modules with each service pack? Where do I find them so as to include them in my app update.

I am confused but I hope these questions make some sense. Surely I do not have to have my customers reinstall my app every time Business Objects issues a service pack.

Any clarification would be very welcome.

The only time you would need to be concerned about redeploying your application (as opposed to just distributing the .exe) would be if the service pack addressed something specific that was causing a problem within your application. They update the merge modules on occasion, but not necessarliy corresponding with the release of a service pack.
