Play pre-recorded message on OUTBOUND calls? 2

I'm using IP Office Manager 10.1 with Voicemail Pro 8.1. We make outbound calls and leave scripted messages on customers' voicemails if we don't reach them. Is it possible to record our scripted message then configure a shortcode (or something else) to play the message, rather than having our agents talk through the script with each call? I haven't found any similar questions/answers on this forum or others...

Thanks!

Create a startpoint (ie Script ) in VM pro that plays the script.

Then, create a shortcode (ie 200, voicemailnode , Script)

Then, when you reach someones Voicemail, simply transfer the call to the shortcode (200)

Or maybe, you have to create a virtual user that is forwarded to 200, en then you have to transfer the call to the virtual user

Good question and answer, I need this too.

If you created a virtual user, would you record the message as an announcement? How to hang up the call at the end?

Don't use the vm or announcement of the virtual user. Just use it to forward to the shortode.

I'm making progress!

VM Pro ShortCode: AutoMsg with Entry Prompt that has the recorded message

User with extension '2000' with Forward Unconditional set to forward to AutoMsg

I place a call, receive the recipient's voicemail greeting > Transfer - 2000 - Complete > from my handset --> I'm doing the Transfer while listening to the greeting, before the destination VM recording starts.

Now the challenge is the timing - I either get "hold" music (maybe from the voicemail system?) before the recorded message starts, or the beginning of the recorded message is cut off (e.g. it starts to play before the call recipient's voicemail has started recording).

Any ideas on when is the right time to initiate the transfer to get the right sync?

No. Transfer to a short code (ie *69, voicemailnode , *69) like you were told

Superhuge, you can't time this to a fire n' forget-function, you never know the length of a greeting or if the far end has tied up all VM channels at that moment (that could cause the holdmusic to kick in, btw).
The agent discovers has to wait for the 'beep' before launching the spam.wav.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Mama always said I should stop asking so many questions and just do what I'm told. [bigears]

Both options suggested by Okkie26 (transfer to shortcode / transfer to [forwarding] user) work, albeit with the same message timing nuances. Still beats our agents having to leave the same message 100 times a day. Appreciate the assist.

Idea.

In VM pro, the startpoint you transfer to.

Put a menu first, so that you have to press 1 before the test is played.

Then, instead of forwarding to the shortcode, setup a conference. Then you will here the greeting of the person you're calling, and afther the beep you press 1, so that your VM pro will play the announcement and then you step out of the conference.

I Mean text or announcement of course..

Hmmm... Remember Impromptu, or else the messages would be dead air until it max out at the other end.
(Depending on the receiver end, the messages might have to be listened to in full before deleting).

Kind regards

Gunnar

Seems like you understand my meaning.

But of course you have to put a disconnect after the announcement
