play a ring tone to a call on hold

Thanks for the advice!
We want to play a ring tone to callers we put on hold or in queue becasue we are preparing to connect them to an outside line. Our problem is producing a quality ring tone.
What we are doing is recording a ring tone on a Voice Mail greeting, then the call hears this ring until we connect them to another trunk. Unfortunately the ring recoding is pretty poor. We have read that the Meridian can play a RAN which is a real ring tone, We just can't find it and find out how to play it to a call on hold or in a ACD queue.
