Platronics and Avaya IP Phone 1616

Hello ...

I have connected platroncis to Avaya 1616 IP Phone, the Mike not working, I can hear the other party on the phone but when I talk cant hear me, is there any configuration on the phone to be the phone working with this headset.

No, you have the settings wrong on the headset and/or the wrong down lead

It's either the adaptor cable or the settings on the base station if it's a cordless headset.

and check for compatibility of your headset with the 1616. The output includes the correct interface cables. For example, if you are trying to use most wired headsets, then you need to use an "Avaya HIS Cable". Other models of Avaya phones use an "Avaya HIC Cable" so it is easy to get confused and use the incorrect cable.

A CS-450 with the right APV cable shold never ever go wrong.
The cable can go in one way only.

Peter, it's amazing what a desperate receptionist can accomplish on the night shift....

She started messing with the cables....ripped out the socket, ending up with the handset in the headset plug
