In CS2 when placing an ai file that has art that falls outside its own page layout is there a way without editing original file to get the entire art to show up in IndesignCS2?

Update.....
So far the only solution is to save back to IllustratorCS (11) using 11 -not downsaving to 11 using 12 to get all of the artwork outside of the page layout included in an InDesign page. Go figure.
