I have a PIX515E that has only one server behind it. There is very little traffic to/from this server. However the PIX will only allow traffic to pass through it for about 10 minutes. I then have to connect to the PIX and perform a "Reload" - it is then ok again for another 10 minutes or so. I connect using SSH via the outside interface and I can VPN to it, so it's not stopping connections *to* the PIX, only traffic *through*.

I am very, VERY frustrated and hope that someone here can point me in the right direction?

I messed around with a PIX issue for weeks, where it would only stop our internet traffic on occassion (it would still allow internal traffic and traffic to our DMZ to pass through). I had even swapped out the external interface. Only a reload or reboot would (temporarily) solve the problem. I finally got on the phone with Cisco and found that the serial number on our PIX fell into a small set of serial numbers that had a known hardware issue. It was not a component I could swap out. Cisco sent me a replacemnt and once I swapped the whole PIX out, I have not had a problem! They would probably have you send them a "show tech" for analysis, and I would guess that they could tell you just what it happening.[bigcheeks]

I had the same issue with a Pix and 10 min sounds about right, I got mined swapped for a new one as well.
