I am setting up a vpn between two locations using Cisco Pix 501 to Pix 515; The main office has a DSL connection, but the remote location only has Wireless Broadband or Dialup availabe.

Does anyone have any previous expreience with running a VPN over a Wireless ISP?
Is it reliable?

Thanks

It all comes down to the bandwidth of the wireless and its stability, we use wireless between two buildings and we have VPN between them, the only time we had problems is when the wireless is not available. We also have office WIFI which people have to use VPN if they want to have access to internal resources and not just access the web and that is very stable,

Hope that helps

I have had some experience with a similar configuration 1 year ago. Using a wireless card in a laptop to get back to a pix501.

It ending up being quite a disaster with pathetic support from Cisco and finger pointing from the ISP and Cisco. I had to roll back the OS on the PIX back to 6.2 and use old aircards from the ISP. Using the latest OS at the time (6.3) and new aircards from the ISP caused the connection to be dropped after 1 minute of connecting with the Cisco VPN client and running a Windows RDP connection. I've since been stuck running on the old software and hardware.
