Hello,

I am new to the PIX and really need some help.

I am trying to install a PIX 501 in a network that has the following
config:

INTERNET
|
DSL Modem
|
DSL Router
|
Internal Network

Notes:
1) From the inside there should be no restrictions at all going
out; at least for now.
2) Inbound needs to have the following:
a. Exchange 5.5
b. OWA SSL (HTTP & SSL)
c. Terminal Services
3) Internal hosts should have no restrictions when trying to talk
to other internal hosts, PC's or Servers.
4) There is no DMZ at this time or in the near future.

Questions:
1) Should I remove the DSL router from the equation completely?
2) Does the PIX go on the inside of the DSL router or the outside?

I am a little lost here as I have been working with Checkpoint for a few years and have had limited exposure to the PIX.

Thanks in advance for any help here.
