I am unsure where to post this question, but since I suspect the problem is with the PIX 515-E, I will post it here. Apologies in advance if I need to go somewhere else.
We have a PIX 515-E. The servers are connected to a switch with a legal address. The servers have legal addresses. The inside router is also connected to the pix. The Inside network is attached to the PIX via the router. In other words... Three ethernet ports on the pix. 1-to the internet router via a straight thru cable. 2-to the inside network via a cisco switch (with an inside address), 3-to the servers switch which has a legal address.
When someone on the inside accesses a web page from one of the servers (with its outside address), it takes what seems forever to load. Accessing the same page from outside the network loads very fast.
What am I doing wrong on this, or do you have any ideas as to why the page loads so slowly from within and not from without.?
Should the second ethernet port be connected at all? (PIX to inside switch).?
I hope I'm clear. Thanks in advance...
Mike
