Hello!

I have two 6 port PIX 515E's in a stateful failover configuration. Currently, it is configured to failover the peer PIX if anyone of the active links go down. I was wondering if I could configure the PIX to igonore the link of one of my interfaces? I would like the ability to disable one of the links on the active PIX without the PIX failing over. Is this possible.

Thanks.

Alex

Ive got a 515E with v7, there is a command "monitor-interface", if you remove the monitor for the relevant int, this should be what ur looking for.

Cheers

I have PIX version 6.2(2). Do you think the monitor-interface command is only in version 7?

If its not, then it will be similar, sorry all my failover experience with PIX's is v7 or ASA :( Am sure there will be a similar command...

The monitor-interface command was introduced in v7.0. Thanks again for the quick reply.
