Pix 501 PDM Login questions

Hi,

I recently got hold of Pix 501 for my company, I'm a CCNA and thought configuring it should be a breeze. I managed to get into the PDM 2.0 ,set up the Inside and outside IP addresses and restarted. Now the PDM will not allow me in, with no user and no password. I have no problems with the CLI. Is it possible to configure a user for the PDM using the CLI. I tried going back to the factory defaults but it still wont let me with blanks.

It's ok just worked out that the user is blank and you use the enable password.

Um I didn't see any options to configure ACL's via PDM. Any tips for configuring them via the PDM (handy for remote changes) or is it all done via the CLI?

You can configure ACL's just fine with the PDM. Once you log into the PDM you can add a new ACL by going to the RULE menu and select ADD or right right in an empty space in the Acess tab and select ADD.
