Hi there,

I have a PIX 501 firewall with PIX v.6.3(4) and PDM 3.0(3). How do I copy the OS bin file and PDM file off the router to my tfpt server? The old cisco 'copy flash: tftp:' is not there anymore.

Thank you,
oleg

use the "tftp-server" command to initially specify a host
then use "write net" command to store the configuration.

I did that and it just created a 7KB file on my tftp server. But the firewall .bin file itself is 2MB in size..

How would I copy this configuration to another router? There has to be something that I'm missing here..

Thanks,
oleg

I don't believe there's a way. The FOS and PDM images are on the CD that comes with the firewall, or can be downloaded from Cisco.

"write net" sends the configuration, but not the software.

And, just to mention it, Pix software won't work with routers.
