I have a pivot table in excel that is linked to an access query. The problem I have is when the Access file is renamed and new data is loaded, the pivot table still links to the old access file (as it should do).

Is there a way in which I can re-point the pivot table to the new file without having to re-create the whole thing.

I also have a similiar problem in another file but instead of a pivot table it is simply the data from the query.

Please help, if there is a way it would save me alot of time every month.

The pivot table wizard will allow you to change the
data source.
just select the back button until you reach the
data source and re-define.

if it is to be it's up to me
