Hi

I am having an issue with displaying information on a Pivot report and I wondering if the problem is with me or with the way Excel handles data...

I have a pivot report with the following info

Code:
Column A Column B Column C
Age Range Country1 Country2
18-25
26-30
31-45

The report works fine, but my boss now wants a gender split for age range and wants the data displayed in the Columns, not as extra rows...

Code:
Column A Column B Column C
Age Range Country1 Country2
18-25 M F M F
26-30 M F M F
31-45 M F M F

Is this possible?

Yes, it's possible, depending on your data. If you attempted this and the data displayed in rows, try pulling your data marker to change the shape of your pivottable.

If you are still having trouble, then a sample of your source data will give us all something to work with.

Cheers, Glenn.

Hi Glenn

Thanks for the quick reply.

My data source is as follows (Excel 2000)

Code:
     ColumnA ColumnB ColumnC
Row1 AgeRange Gender Country
Row2 18-25 M UK
Row3 18-25 M UK
Row4 31-45 M USA
Row5 81+ F Germany
Row6 25-30 F Spain
Row7 31-45 F UK

Many thanks for your help

I got this PivotTable from your data:
Code:
Count of Country	Country	Gender
Germany Spain UK USA Grand Total
AgeRange	F	M	F	M	F	M	F	M
18-25 2 2
25-30 1 1
31-45 1 1	2
81+ 1 1
Grand Total	1 1 1	2 1	6
using age range in row, Country and Gender in column, and count of Gender in data, and setting field setting for Gender to show items with no data. ( sorry about the alignment on here )

Cheers, Glenn.
