Picture not showing on screen

This is weird because yesterday I was able to use MS Word 07 perfectly fine. But today, when I tried using it, and when I try inserting pictures, the pictures don't really show up. Instead of seeing a picture, you see a blank box (not a red X).

I tried browsing another Word document of mine and still see the same problem.

Tried restarting my computer and still the problem exists.

In attempt to check if I truly inserted the picture, I used PRINT PREVIEW,and the picture shows up. How can I fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Update your printer driver is the first suggestion.

Question: if you acroll off where the picture is, then scroll back, is the picture now visible? If so, it is most likely the printer driver.
