When syncing from Optivity on a Nortel Meridian 1 system it sets the PUA to PUD even though I have not changed it in Optivity. I then have to go back out to the "switch" and change PUD to PUA and then go into Optivity and retrieve to get it to go back to PUA. Does anyone else have this problem?

Try and do a retieve for that TN or ALL. That will syncronize the database with the OTM server and M1. I have this scheduled for once a week to catch any changes made from the TTY. Most service techs use the TTY and not OTM.

otm is great if your trying to sale it, never met a tech that would actually use it.. sorry can't help with that one.. installed it here, did a sync, used it once, turned it off..

I guess i can understand not liking OTM. I have been dealing with it since it was MAT and then some. I am a tech. and was in the field for 15+ years. OTM works very well for many customer and it helps avoid the COPY command which can corrupt data. I still prefer the terminal but I am familiar with the loads and how the equipment works. OTM once sync'ed with the system puts the customer in control of all programming changes, except for the important things like trunks, CDB, CFN, etc. It only builds sets and up till recently was the only way to do VOIP. Just a thought.

i do have customers that use otm and swear by it, on smaller systems it seems to be a money saver for some customers, nortel built it so that end users wouldn't need techs for anything, if used by a above average user it works. i installed mat, tried it, turned it off, did the same with otm.. don't get me wronge, it is the right tool for some users
