Picks up on first ring altough set for 3 rings

CICS with CP rings set to 3

are the lines that appear on the phone set, set in the CP auto attendant to be answered, if so they are probably set to 1 ring

Is a ring service (ie nite ringing) turned on?

Down Dasheen's path, check under T&S to make sure the lines aren't A&R to the VM DN's.
