I don't know if anybody can help me with this problem. I am using Visual Basic 6 and Access 2000 and Crystal Reports 8.
I have a packaged application that when installed on other pcs gives the above error.
I have included the msvcp60.dll but still am getting errors.
I have also downloaded the firstclasshotels sample from Seagate. This works fine within the VB6 IDE but when packaged and installed gives the same error.

Many thanks

Mario

Are you connecting Via ODBC?
Is the database in a different location once installed?
Search the Seagate KB for that error if it isn't simply a changed location. It might mean several things. There is a link to the KP in the FAQ area of this forum Ken Hamady

We are not connecting through ODBC. We are using ADo with the Open Database Command.

The database is stored in the same location. We have searched the KB of Seagate and am awaiting a reply from them regarding this problem.

Thanks.

Mario

We ran into the same problem and found that the client machines had an old version of MFC42.dll. There is a previous Tek-Tips reply in the Seagate: Crystal Reports forum that helped me out (search for 'CR8 Physical Database not found', written by andybee on July 7, 2000)

I know this is kind of a late answer, but I have the same trouble and after some research, this is the closest thing that would solve my problem I came upon.

I searche Crystal Decisions knowledge base and this article tell what runtime files are necessary in order to access an Access database via a distributed report on client machine.

The article ID is c2007461 and is available at this page :

I'm not sure if you need to be registered in Crystal support in order to view this page. If you can't, I'll e-mail it to you.
