Does anyone know if PhotoDraw 2000 can be used on a Windows XP box with Office 2003? I know it is an old program, but there was a function on there that I cannot find on Adobe Photoshop or PaintShop Pro. After I installed it, it just errors on me before starting. I tried to go to MS office website to see if any patches but it did not come up with anything.

Thanks!

Hi CoreyBryant,

As it's discontinued there isn't much on the MS web site.

My wife has PhotoDraw 2000 running on XP (with O2K) without a problem (that I know about). It might be worth trying to run in (some other version of Windows) compatibility mode. Sorry - haven't got the XP box at hand but I think you right click on the PhotoDraw exe and select compatibility and it all seems pretty obvious.

It's possible there's some other issue with Office 2K3 but I'll have to defer to someone else on that.

Enjoy,
Tony

I was running it on Windows 2000 with Office XP, no problems. I'll try that as well. I just pretty much assumed that might be the case. I do have a 2000 server here @ home that I can put it on if worse comes to worse. Thanks!!

I know you posted here several months ago but here is what I did to get PhotoDraw 2000 to work in XP. Install PhotoDraw, get all the online Office 2000 Service Pack updates (SP1a, SP2, & SP3)(See link below) and install them. Then change compatability mode on PHOTODRW.EXE to Windows 98. That should fix it as it did for me.

Hope this helps,
John
