I am having audio problems when using the Phontage softphone remotely. I can call an external number and it will ring but when it is answered there is no audio in either direction. I have opened the following ports:
5588
6254
8100-8171
8700-8701
1720
2048-3071
7000-7015
7100-7115
7300-7315
8002-8018
9200-9215
5003
80
69
21
9700-9709
7400-7407
7408-7423

Has anyone else had this problem and got it working? I am wondering if there is something else in the LIK50 that needs to be programmed. The softphone works fine on the local lan.

Thanks.

Let me ask this question in a different way. Has anybody been successful in getting Phontage to work on an LIK50A.

I see there have been alot of questions asked about getting it to work on the LDK systems.

Hi Both

We have 3 remote laptops working off our in-house LIK50b.

Sometimes you have to play about with the connection settings on the phonetage application. Have you tried keeping the local setting rather than ticking remote?

Also your ports list is missing 2048-4096. Ive always had these ports opened regardless of ipldk, ipecs, voib, phonetage etc. I might be wrong but worth a try.

Have you tried this at different remote locations too? the router your using may have restrictions too.

Hi Eats,

I have ports 2048-3071 forwarded to the LIK. I will try your suggestion and change it to 2048-4096. I have tried it at different remote locations with the same result. I'll try changing to the local setting as well. I was on the phone to LG-Ericsson USA tech support this morning and they logged into both my router & LIK to check the settings and they didn't see anything wrong so at this point it is a mystery. If I get this resolved I will post what I find out.

Thanks for responding.

****UPDATE****

I finally got this working. Funny how the little things you miss can set you back. I had upgraded the software to 5.5 Fc Oct/11 before I started setting up the Phontage but I never rebooted the MFIM. Once I rebooted the MFIM50 the Phontage started working so the router settings were correct after all.

Correction....

What I should have said was I never reprogrammed the MFIM. Once I defaulted it back to factory settings and started over the Phontage started to work with two way audio. I'm not sure what was programmed originally in the iPECS50 to cause no audio but I'm glad it's working now.

To clarify the ports used by Phontage

On anipLDK UDP5588, UDP2048-4096

On an IPECS MFIM (built in VoIP Gateway)
UDP 5588, UDP 7000-7015, 7100-7115, 7300-7315
