We have got an Avaya Lucent Definity at my firm and thought we would try out the IPSoftphones. This we did and it worked, so we decided to roll it out across our Helpdesk department.
Unfortunately for most of yesterday and today, my guys at the helpdesk get their calls cut off during conversation with our customers, which to say the very least is not good for our business image or profits.
I am at a loss as to what the problem could be, so I decided to look at the EventLogging file under Program options and I found out that- maybe this is just mere coincidence of course- the exact times that the problem occurred, an error entry was made in the log.
See below:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
1032 : Error [3] - (1/14/2005-9:27:37.239) - Loc(LineDevice.cpp:2526), Desc(TAPI - Line Error: phoneSetHookSwitch failed with error code 0x90000010.)
1033 : Error [3] - (1/14/2005-9:27:39.51) -
Loc(LineDevice.cpp:2526), Desc(TAPI - Line Error: phoneSetHookSwitch failed with error code 0x90000010.)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Now I have googled to no avail and I am hoping that someone here could help me out.
I have phoned the firm we bought the Phone system from but they are just at as much a loss as I am.
