We have an issue running Phonemanager mostly on Windows XP PC's- the login does not woirk when the PC starts up and Phonemanager shows "Unlicenced" in the titlebar. This stops dialling from showing the list of users etc.

If we go intot he Configure >> PBX option and click OK then it springs into life. The Windows Firewall is not running on those PC's and we are using 3.0DT (551)? the latest version. Our VoicemailPro's run on Windows Server 2003.

Any ideas welcome

Did you configure your PBX first, I usually have to set the IP address of the system right after installing it, then all the users will populate

We always configure it right after logging onto the PC as the correct user. As I said, just going in and clicking Ok gets it working but it is very annoying!

It's as if the software does not poll properly when starting up.

It sounds like a bad install. Modify the PM shortcut to resolve.

After the closing quotation mark, add the IP Office IP Address, the User Name in quotation marks and the user password in quotation marks. If the password is blank add "". For example:

"C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Phone Manager\PhoneManager.exe" 192.168.42.1 Extn201 ""

I´ve worked on such a issue before and it turned out to be a personal firewall wich caused the problem.
Even after disabling the firewall there was still a component running wich only could be disabled in the network card properties.
Thats were you can change the IP Address of the NIC card.

Check first,

IP Address conflict with your main unit - you will not get any notification on sys mon.

Otherwise, just add the phone manager exe into the allowed list on each end user's anti virus software.

Thanks guys. I have added the switch IP and username to the shortcut and it appears to be OK. There are definitley no IP address conflicts.
