I am looking for a phone to connect to a traditional POTS line that when called will auto-answer and allow handsfree talk. Up to $150 is OK. Anyone seen such a product?
The old lucent 8110 sets had an auto answer button They supplied the phione with a blank cover to remove the button if needed.
you can got support.avaya.com and look at the users guide for it.
The product itself is quite good. All it needs is Tip/Ring of a typical telco line. You dial that tel number and the Door phone auto answers becoming a duplex handsfree call.
While not a solution that I ended up deploying, I am still satisfied... the product does what I expected.
What I would like improved: If transmit volume from the product back to the other end was better, the product would have a lot more applications. But when used at a door or foyer which is the application it is designed for, the transmit volume is not a problem...in fact, it is pretty good.
