We have a IPO 500 rls 8.1 with 9508 sets. The customer uses the log in and log out command to secure their phone and when they move sets. Whenever there is a reboot all phones log out and some come back with the wrong used ext. Is there a way to make the sets not log out on reboot.

There are two methods called login/logout

The first is actually a unregistration of the phone from the phone system
the second is a user to logoff from the phone

I would never let the end user use the first method, block it in the configsettings of the phone
Always use the user logoff/logon function in IP Office.

I am not going into detail, too much of a job but read the docs or maybe another tektipper is willing to explain in detail.

They are logging off from the phone. The user presses Logoff and the phone is logged off. Upon returning to their phone they press log in, enter their extension and then enter the pass code and then the phone is logged in.

If they come back up in the wrong extension, it means you're doing it wrong, because you are hotdesking. System Status will show a base extension and user extension. If they don't match, it's wrong. You want to have the PHONE un-register/loggoff from the system. Then you can put in the correct extension and have it register as that.
