phone issue

I have a customer who reports:

......clicking sound/conference message that I get on my phone. I get a clicking sound (like a disconnect) and at the same time, I get the word “conference” on my display.

This is on an r10 with PRI. Happens on multiple phones.

Are the calls part of a pickup group? If so, check your System Parameters Features for Temporary Bridged Appearance on Call Pickup.

We had this happen to us. The call would be answered with call pickup within seconds of the call being answered at the station. So it created a conference call.

No, that did not seem to help. Thanks for the input though.

Try to re create the problem on a certain extension before doing this enter the command 'list trace station xxxx'. Hopefully this will shed some light on what is happening.

I found that this can happen two ways. One is someone has used the trunk test feature and has butted into your conversation. Two is your set is currently being service observed. On page 5 of system features you can set a tone to play if any of the above two items are the cause.
