We have a new reception area and would like to know if there is anyway we can have a normal 3820 phone with the switchboard key presented on them , so that when switchboard rings they can pick it up and transfer if nessacary ...is this possible without buying another switchboard , this is a temp measure

thank you

I don't believe you can have 'Call Pick-Up' key for switchboards.

The options I can suggest would be Overflow position, Night Busy the switchboards to the extn or provide Incoming Digit Conversion to the extn on your Main Number
Programme an SCR Keys on the set or I guess provide a Temporary ACD solution on your main number, if you have the time to programme and provide the phones/and resource.

Cheers!!

agree w/SLIM1 - but note ACD won't allow this position to have a call on hold and answer another call.

If you need to "help out" - be like a second position, that will be a Attendant Overflow Position as posted

If you need to be a backup while the attendant position is unmanned - nobody there, then (as posted) the "Night" by time of day is my choice. During work, the regular phone will ring when the console goes into Night. After hours, the Night Number can be whatever you have now.

Remember the re-marketers of phones can often "make a trade". Something you could give up and get a 2250 comnsole in return.
